Parent FAQ

Below are several questions that we believe many parents would like to have answered. We hope these answers reassure you and your daughter in her decision to join Kappa Delta Sorority!

- How much does it cost?
"We understand that becoming a part of greek life can appear expensive and that spending any amount of money requires much thought and consideration. We are proud to say that as a whole, panhellenic sororities at UAHuntsville are very affordable. Your daughter will learn more about our semester dues and where every single dollar goes on Philanthropy night during formal recruitment. Keep in mind, a portion of our dues always go directly to our national philanthropies, and another large portion is used to help us spread awareness and host events to raise even more funds for our philanthropies."

- How much time will my daughter have to dedicate to KD?
"As a Kappa Delta, your daughter will have numerous opportunities to get involved within the chapter, on campus, and within the community. These are all opportunities that will help her develop leadership, social skills, and time management. Our chapter encourages members to be as involved as they can, but we also believe that we are collegiate women first and that academics are to be a first priority. Our time requirements never interfere with our members' ability to succeed academically, in fact, being a member of Kappa Delta will inspire your daughter you acheive above and beyond her goals as a collegiate woman."
