Welcome to the Delta Lambda chapter of Phi Mu at the University of Evansville! I hope that this website will give you a glimpse of our chapter and what it means to be a part of our sisterhood.
Phi Mu was founded in 1852 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. It began as a literary society and is the second oldest secret society for women. Phi Mu remains a respected and recognized organization across the nation with more than 150,000 collegiate and alumnae members. Phi Mu’s creed and our values “Love, Honor, and Truth” represent what Phi Mu stands for.
For me, being a member of Phi Mu has made all the difference. From my years in Phi Mu, I have found incredible friends and positive role models to look up to. The girls in this chapter are respectful, fun, and genuine. They have supported me and everyone else in the chapter who has needed it. It has given me countless leadership and service opportunities and has helped me grow into the woman I am today. Phi Mu is truly HϕΜE. Phi Mu has blessed me, and I am honored to be a part of this group of amazing women.
Sorority life often is thought of as just formals and mixers, but Phi Mu represents more with its national philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network. This past year we raised over $2,000 for Riley Hospital for Children through our annual philanthrophy events-hosting a pancake breakfast and Phi Mu Kid's Carnival in the spring and our fall philanthropy Rock-4-Riley.
Thank you for visiting the website to learn more about Phi Mu at the University of Evansville.
